In fact, the All Indian Cine Workers Association has written a letter to the Mumbai Police. According to the letter carried by news agency ANI, the association has asked the police to take action against Poonam Pandey. The letter said, “The fake news of model and actress Poonam Pandey’s death due to cervical cancer has shocked everyone in the Indian film industry.”

The letter written by the association further said, “This fake news was created by model and actress Poonam Pandey for a publicity stunt which was confirmed by her manager.” This fake news had hurt the sentiments of all Indians who had paid tributes to him . We request you to file an FIR against Poonam Pandey and her manager for spreading fake news just for their PR promotion.
The letter also states that strict action is needed against Poonam Pandey and her manager so that no one spreads such fake news. According to the association, “Such cheap advertising is absolutely unacceptable in our Indian film industry, which has emotional values for all.”
