The Afghan government will not allow its land to be used against anyone

Kabul: The government of Afghanistan has assured Pakistan that it will not allow its territory to be used against anyone.

This statement has come at a time when Pakistan is saying that there are safe havens for terrorists in Afghanistan, while Afghanistan is denying it.

An important meeting was held today between Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi and Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Asif Durrani in which economic and trade issues between the two countries were discussed.

In the meeting, Foreign Minister Amir Khan Motaqi assured that he will not allow his land to be used against anyone. He demanded that the problems of Afghan prisoners, traders and refugees should be resolved.

Pakistan’s Special Representative Asif Durrani said that bilateral mechanisms are ready in political, economic and other fields.

He said that a peaceful region is in the interest of all, so both countries should cooperate on security.

The spokesman of the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Asif Durrani promised construction of Torkham and Jalalabad road and medical visa in the meeting.
