The Newcastle United continues to work on planning its squad for next season with the aim of hitting the table in the Premier League and fighting for qualifying positions in European competitions.
As reported by the British newspaper Time, the Magpies have up to three top-level players in their sights for the 2023 summer transfer market.
Newcastle’s 3 goals for the summer market
–Stefan DeVrij: The experienced Dutch center-back ends his contract with Inter Milan in the summer of 2023 and there is no information about his renewal. The Magpies see him as an ideal addition to make a quality leap defensively. He has the conditions to be the leader of the defense and offer Eddie Howe the possibility to play with three center backs in the starting eleven.
–Yuri Tielemans: The Belgian midfielder ends his contract with Leicester City in the summer of 2023 and the information is being handled that he will not renew his contract. Newcastle sees him as an option to enhance their midfield area and have a profile that fits perfectly with Bruno Guimarães. Arsenal and Manchester United are other clubs closely monitoring Tielemans’ situation.
–Moussa Diaby: The French winger is the main objective to enhance the offensive and have one more piece thinking about the long term. It is the one that will require a much higher investment compared to the other two names. His contract with Bayer Leverkusen ends in the summer of 2025 and the German team does not want to sell him for less than 60 million euros. He would be an ideal addition to play with Alexander Isak.
