The 3 clubs who want to remove Kaoru Mitoma from Brighton

Top Premier League clubs Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea have received a boost in their bid to sign Brighton & Hove Albion winger Kaoru Mitoma. The Japanese international showed his skills last season with ten goals and eight assists in 41 appearances.

Although he has had ups and downs this season, Mitoma remains a standout with three goals and six assists in 25 games. Despite his contract until June 2027, Mitoma is attracting interest from several renowned clubs in England.

Mitoma, in everyone’s sights

According to Football Transfers, Brighton could be considering offers for Mitoma after securing the signing of Ibrahim Osman from Nordsjaelland. The £16m deal for Osman was recently confirmed and will strengthen the team’s attacking options. With Osman on the move, this opens up the opportunity for Mitoma to look for a new destination ahead of next season.

Although Brighton could be willing to let Mitoma leave, they are expected to demand a sizeable transfer fee, possibly around €60 million. However, Barcelona’s interest was dented by the signing of Osman. The Catalans hoped to use Ansu Fati as a bargaining chip for a possible agreement, but the arrival of Osman changes the picture. Fati, who has been on loan at Brighton, has had a season marred by a calf injury, which could mean the club are reluctant to sign the Spanish striker on a permanent basis.

With Osman set to join the team in the summer, Brighton can change their focus and consider offers from top Premier League clubs for Mitoma. This scenario could open up new opportunities for Mitoma and interested clubs, while Fati’s future at Brighton remains in doubt.
