The 22nd edition of the Triple 100 of cycling will start this Friday

Everything is ready for the opening this Friday, from 9:00 in the morning, of the 22nd edition of the Triple 100 Cycling Classic, a contest in which some 360 ​​cyclists will participate and which will last until the 6th of this month.

A first stage that will be a circuit in the Mirador Sur park will mark the start of one of the most transcendental cycling events in America in the master category.

The second stage will include a route on the Circunvalación avenue in the vicinity of the so-called Higuero Largo, while the third round will be in the same area, but in the Higuero short, a space where there are various elevations.

Riders from 17 countries will be present at the event, most of them are already in Dominican territory to begin their actions this Friday.

as announced by the engineer Rafael Tejada, who chairs the organizing committee of the contest, which returns this year after a forced recess in 2020 as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic.

The fair will last until November 7 and, as every year, high relief competitions are expected for the main positions in the different categories to compete.

This Thursday afternoon the celebration of the technical congress was scheduled in which representatives of each of the participating teams participated.

Rafael Tejada, who chairs the organizing committee, said that the event will compete in the categories of 30 to 39 years; from 40 to 49 and 50 to 59, 60 and over, as well as recreational master, the latter will be in its second year of completion.

All the riders will be competing in several groups, however there will be a leader in each category, as well as in the flying finishes.

The Triple 100 is the event that closes the doors of the three great competitions in the master category that take place in the Caribbean area, joined by Panama and Cuba. The latter have about 8 years of celebration, while the Triple 100 reaches its 22nd anniversary.

In the fair will participate riders from Spain. Puerto Rico, Colombia, Cuba, United States, Uruguay, Argentina, Dominican cyclists residing in the United States, as well as members of the national teams that belong to Drink Team, Inteja, Mortero, Montecchi, Poco Force, Instaladores, Cocuyos, VMC Racing Team, Ciclo Master, Team La Vega, R2R Cycling Team, Aero Cycling Team, Tele Cable Central among others.

Great competitions are expected between riders who in the past have had relevant performances at international levels.

Tejada and Ramón Adames, the general directors of the event, Frankis Adames, general coordinator, Rafael Poueriet, will be the director of logistics, Juan Luis Rodríguez, José Frías and Mildred Rosario are part of the organizing committee; Freddy Méndez signage, Pedro G.
