Samsung launched its first foldable smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Fold, more than two years ago. He is not alone. Other brands like Huawei, Motorola or, more recently, Oppo and Honor have also presented their foldable devices or are about to do so.
However, until today, Apple has shown no intention of releasing a foldable iPhone, and it is something that intrigues many users.
Obviously Apple has foldable iPhone prototypes, but if they haven’t released any models yet, you must have some good reason not to.
Now a source called Dylan DKT shared some facts about the alleged foldable iPhone.
This source claims that Apple is “Working and testing various prototypes with certain folding screens.” Although, Apple seems to have doubts about the foldable smartphone trend.

“There are a lot of compromises with folding screen technology,” indicates DylanDKT. “There is also Doubts over whether foldable smartphones will continue to have a place in the market or they will fall into obsolescence.”
As a result, Apple is “Watch the market carefully and learn from your competitors’ failures.” These flaws likely include the construction problems of the early models, which were brittle and could not withstand water/dust contact.
The goal, according to DylanDKT, ismake sure a foldable iPhone “It’s not a throwback to the current iPhone format.”
Other industry analysts such as Ming-Chi Kuo have suggested that the launch of a foldable iPhone won’t arrive until 2023 or 2024 at the earliest.
