A “soccer player” from the Regional League of Tres Arroyos, in the south of the province of Buenos Aires, was arrested this Sunday after attacking the referee of the match between Deportivo Independencia and Deportivo Garmense.
The serious act of violence occurred during the Reserve match between both teams, corresponding to the local league, when the player Cristian Tirone hit Dalma Cortadi from behind and in the neck, I referred her, after receiving a yellow card.
Tirone, in jersey number 2, took a run and hit Cortadi from behind while the judge scored on her card. The referee fell to the ground and, when the player was going to continue with his aggression, he was removed from the place by his own teammates and the line judge.
Although Cortadi did not suffer serious injuries, the match was immediately suspended and the soccer player was arrested for the crime of minor injuries, and a record was issued for infraction of Law 11,929, of the contraventional regime in sporting events.
In addition to having suspended this match, the same determination was made for the First Division match between both clubs, which was to be played next.
