Teresa Perales will return to Spain in the next few days on a medicalized flight after the scare she suffered during the Paralympic Games in Tokyo due to an anxiety attack. This was announced today by the Spanish Paralympic Committee through a statement in which they have revealed news about their state of health.

Paralympic athlete Teresa Perales will return to Spain in the near future in a medicalized plane from Tokyo. Upon her arrival in Spain, she will be transferred to a hospital center where the studies that are being carried out will continue to determine the cause of her situation, which began during the celebration of the Paralympic Games and advised her attention and stay in the Japanese capital. .

The Spanish Paralympic Committee (CPE), with the collaboration of Sanitas and the Spanish Embassy in Tokyo, has used all the means at its disposal to ensure that Teresa returns to Spain as soon as possible, with all the health and safety guarantees for her. . The heads of the Medical Service of the Spanish Paralympic Team, doctors D. Tomás Fernández Jaén and Dª Josefina Espejo, have remained with the swimmer at all times in the Tokyo hospital, where she is receiving excellent treatment and care. In the next few days it will be reported that Teresa is already flying to our country.

For its part, Teresa’s family wants to convey its public gratitude to the medical staff of the CPE mentioned above, as well as to the hospital where the athlete is located in Japan, for the excellent professional and human treatment they are giving her. Likewise, he wants to thank the work carried out by the CPE, Sanitas and the Embassy with all the necessary procedures during these days, without forgetting the help and affection shown by all the colleagues of the Spanish delegation at the Games (technicians and athletes).
