Arrests and Sentencing in Fake Ticket Scandal
Four individuals were apprehended by the authorities on Monday afternoon at the entrance of the Maroñas Racecourse, suspected of selling counterfeit tickets to the Ramírez Grand Prix.
Details of the Arrests
The group consisted of a 27-year-old male, two 18-year-old males, and a 14-year-old teenager. Upon their arrest, 62 fake tickets and a total of $8,360 were confiscated.
Justice Takes Action
This Wednesday, the 27-year-old male, who had no prior convictions, was sentenced to 15 months of probation for the crimes of document falsification and fraud, as per the agreed resolution.
Investigation and Proceedings
The 14-year-old teenager remains under the authorities’ supervision but has been released. The Prosecutor’s Office has ordered his location and may summon him again as the investigation progresses.
The two 18-year-old suspects have different outcomes: one, with a prior conviction for trespassing in May 2024, and the other with no criminal record, were released.
