Tecno just launched its new Pova 7 phone series in India. This brand is known for offering great value for money. The new Pova 7 and Pova 7 Pro models aim to impress. They bring high-end features to a more affordable price point. Think super smooth screens, strong processors, and big batteries.
One eye-catching feature is the “Delta Light” design. It’s a triangle of lights around the camera on the back. This setup uses 104 small LED lights. Users can set these lights for different alerts. They might flash for incoming calls, when playing music, or during charging. It also lights up during game sessions. This is a bit like the Glyph lighting system on Nothing phones.
Let’s talk about the displays. The standard Tecno Pova 7 has a 6.78-inch LCD screen. It uses IPS technology for good colors. The screen is Full HD+ and gets very bright, up to 900 Nits. It also boasts a very fast 144 Hz refresh rate. This means pictures move very smoothly, like on more expensive phones.
The Tecno Pova 7 Pro steps up the screen game. It features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display. This Pro screen has a higher 1220p+ resolution. It can also get incredibly bright, reaching 4,500 Nits. Like its sibling, it also supports a fast 144 Hz refresh rate.
Both Pova 7 phones share some neat tricks. They both have a fingerprint scanner under the screen. They use something called PWM Dimming to adjust brightness quickly. This makes the screen easier on your eyes and saves power. A 13-megapixel camera sits on the front for selfies. Tough Gorilla Glass 7i protects the screen from scratches.
Under the hood, both phones run on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chip. This processor can hit speeds up to 2.5 GHz. Users will find 8 GB of memory inside. Storage options include 128 GB or 256 GB. The phones run Tecno’s own HiOS 15 software. This is based on Android 15. It also comes with a built-in AI helper named Ella. This assistant uses a feature called DeepSeek.
Camera setups are a bit different between models. The regular Pova 7 has a 50-megapixel main camera. It also includes another camera lens, though details on it are unclear. The Pova 7 Pro offers a sharper 64-megapixel main camera. This uses a Sony IMX682 sensor. It also adds an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera for bigger shots.
Powering these devices is a large 6,000 mAh battery. Both phones support fast 45W wired charging. The Pova 7 Pro adds wireless charging capability. It can charge wirelessly at 30W.
