Teaser for a web series about pirates, directing debut by Hansal Mehta’s son, Jai

The teaser for ‘Lootere’ by famous filmmaker Hansal Mehta has been released. The story of this web series showing survival, greed and fear is based on pirates. Vivek Gomber, Deepak Tijori, Rajat Kapoor, Chandan and Amrit Khanvilkar will be seen in the lead roles of the film. Hansal Mehta’s son, Jai Mehta, makes his directorial debut with this web series. It will launch on the OTT Hotstar platform.

Hansal Mehta shared the teaser on his Instagram. Along with this, he wrote the caption that I am proud to present the robbery carried out in the direction of Jai Mehta. Which is a story of greed, survival, terror and anarchy.


Let us tell you that at the beginning of the teaser, Rajat Kapoor is shown with binoculars, who observes the thieves’ boats from afar. Hansal Mehta is also seen in the teaser. The teaser is receiving a good response from the audience. Filmmaker Nikhil first commented on the teaser video. He wrote, that looks good, Jai Mehta is going to teach us a lot. Aside from Nikhil, film editor Apoorva Ansari posted candid emojis in the comments.

Lootere Ki Kahani is a fictional suspense drama inspired by true events. This is the story of a large Indian trading ship, which is hijacked off the coast of Somalia. This is where your story begins. The story of the web series revolving around this topic will show what happens to the driver on board that ship. This is the first show that will bring the problems of Somali pirates to light. The show has been filmed in Ukraine, Cape Town and Delhi.

Apart from this, Hansal Mehta directs Faraz. It will be an action thriller. His story will be based on the Hole Artisan cafe attack that shook the whole of Bangladesh in 2016. Recently this film has been selected for the BFI London Film Festival 2022. In this, Paresh Rawal’s son is in the lead role while Jahan Kapoor is making his Bapna debut.
