The world of professional gaming, often flashy and competitive, can also be quite unforgiving. Just ask Gabriel “AsK” Santos, a well-known player in the Rainbow Six Siege (R6) scene. He recently shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, that Team Liquid has moved him to their bench. This means he is now free to explore offers from other teams.
AsK’s recent return to Team Liquid was a big deal. The team announced his comeback in May 2025, alongside Lucas “Dias.” They joined a strong lineup that included André “Nesk” Oliveira, Gabriel “Maia,” and Pablo “resetz.” This revamped squad made their debut at RELOAD, a brand new global tournament that kicked off the 2025 R6 season. It seemed like a fresh start for everyone involved.

Yet, something changed behind the scenes. AsK opened up about his feelings regarding the situation. He mentioned that everything felt good leading up to the RELOAD tournament. He felt heard and that his input mattered. But then, he heard a phrase that shifted everything: “you will not change us.” This statement hit him hard. He felt like the team had closed the door on any further professional growth for him.
It’s not AsK’s first time dealing with team changes. Before his most recent return to Team Liquid, he spent nearly two years playing for Black Dragons. That partnership ended in April 2025. It turns out that Team Liquid had paid a significant sum, 340,000, to buy out his contract and bring him back.
Nao queria fazer nenhum texto a respeito mas estou vendo muitas mentiras sendo faladas então vamos falar a verdade. Dessa vez não guardarei segredos de quem não ao menos me respeitou.

Interestingly, another top team, G2, had shown interest in signing AsK before his second stint with Liquid. He chose to stick with Team Liquid then, showing a strong sense of loyalty. Now, AsK is looking for his next opportunity in the competitive Rainbow Six Siege world. He is ready to find a team where he can continue to grow and contribute.
