According to reports, Ishaan did not play the match for Jharkhand despite BCCI request. Shreyas Iyer also walked out of the Ranji Trophy quarterfinal match.
BCCI currently gives players Rs 15 lakh for a Test match. His salary was doubled in 2016. While players get Rs 6 lakh for an ODI match. Players get Rs 3 lakh as salary for a T20 match. Team India players also receive an annual salary according to their grade. The players have a contract with the board.
