India to Tour Sri Lanka for T20 and ODI Series
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian team squad for the upcoming T20 and ODI series against Sri Lanka. The Indian team will tour Sri Lanka from July 27 to August 7.
T20 Series
The T20 series will be played from July 27 to July 30, while the ODI series will be held from August 2 to August 7. This series is crucial for both teams, and the BCCI has made several changes to the T20 team.
New Captain and Vice-Captain
Suryakumar Yadav has been appointed as the captain of the T20 team, while Shubman Gill has been made the vice-captain. Gill recently captained the team against Zimbabwe and led India to a 4-1 victory.
Rohit-Virat Return
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s names have been included in the ODI team against Sri Lanka. Both players were on rest after the T20 World Cup final and have also announced their retirement from T20 Internationals. Jaspreet Bumrah’s name is not in the team as he will still be on rest. Shreyas Iyer has returned to the ODI team, and Harshit Rana’s name is also included.
