TC2000: Pernía won in San Jorge and remains the leader of the championship

Leonel Pernía (Renault Fluence) prevailed this afternoon in the central test of the TC 2000 motorsport at the Santa Fe San Jorge racetrack and extended his advantage as leader of the division championship, by playing the fifth date of the annual calendar.

The 47-year-old driver from Tandil showed the strength of his vehicle and won with an accumulated time of 27m. 10s. 036/1000, to cover the 16 laps of the circuit named ‘Park of Speed’.

In this way, the two-time champion of the category reached his 25th victory in the history of the multi-brand division of local motorsports.

“I had a good car and I knew it could perform very well. I have to congratulate Franco (Vivian) because in the fight we had he behaved correctly, like all the other drivers,” Pernía confided, in statements to ‘Carburando’ (TyC Sports ).

Franco Vivian (Chevrolet Cruze) from Buenos Aires obtained second place, at 803 thousandths; while Facundo Ardusso (Honda Civic) from Santa Fe completed the podium, placing 4s behind. 439/1000

The young man from Chubut, Ignacio Montenegro (Renault Fluence) finished in fourth place, 4s behind. 741/1000; Facundo Marques (Renault Fluence) from Cordoba, who had secured pole position, finished in fifth place, 5s behind. 480/1000; and Julián Santero (Toyota Corolla) from Mendoza finished sixth, 9s behind. 127/1000

Then Luis José Di Palma (Fiat Línea) from Arrecife, Fabricio Persia (Citroën) from San Juan, Marcelo Ciarrocchi (Fiat Línea) from Cordoba and Felipe Barrios Bustos (Renault Fluence) from Chile.

In the TC2000 Series, meanwhile, the winner was Mateo Polakovich (Ford Focus) from Cordoba, followed by Sebastián NG (Peugeot) from Panama and Kevin Felippo (Toyota) from Buenos Aires.

The first final of the main category was won this morning by Marques from Cordoba, escorted by Vivian from Buenos Aires and Mariano Pernía (Renault Fluence) from Tandil.
