TC 2000: Llaver kept the victory and the lead in the championship

Pure profit picked up the mendocino Bernard Keyring (Chevrolet) during its time at the Oscar Cabalén racetrack in Córdoba. He won from flag to flag the sixth race of the year of the TC 2000 and in parallel, he climbed to the top of the championship which he now shares with Agustín Canapino (Toyota) with 152 units.

Llaver took a fast ride and held off Jorge Barrio (Toyota), the young driver from Pinamar, who was never able to approach him and give him a fight. Llaver managed to get differences of more than 6 seconds and recorded a final time of 42 minutes, 41 seconds and 206 thousandths. Barrio completed the podium at 3 seconds and 635/1000 and Leonel Pernía (Renault) at 5 seconds and 145/1000.

Precisely, they were Pernía and another young man like his teammate Ignacio Montenegro (Renault) who sustained the few emotional moments of a monotonous race. The fight for third and fourth place was intense and Pernía’s overtaking of Montenegro was one of the few recorded on a track that allows few of these manoeuvres. The other leader of the championship, Agustín Canapino, entered fifth with a car that loaded 60 kilos of ballast.

Halfway through the calendar, Canapino and Llaver (who obtained his second win of the season) lead the tournament with an eight-point advantage over Pernía (144) and eleven over Julián Santero (141). Further back, Barrio comes with 101. The next race will take place on July 24 at the Rafaela racetrack.
