The Cape Verdean, who is being one of the sensations of the Afrobasket, had a less prominent role than in other matches.
In Tunisia, good role for ex-Madridista Salah Mejri (14 points and 6 rebounds). Porto power forward Makram Romdhane was the top scorer of his team with 16 goals and with 14 they also finished Omar Abada and the nationalized Michael Roll, who also distributed 10 assists.
Cape Verde began ruling the match (12-4), but Tunisia went ahead in that first round (14-16) thanks to a 2-12 run. Anderson Correia, with a free throw, made it 15-16 early in the second quarter. Cape Verde stayed stuck in those 15 points (15-28) and Tunisia already enjoyed an income of 14 points before the break (24-38). With a triple by Almeida, Cape Verde moved to four (39-43), but his rival again took distance (42-59). Tunisia kept that income of about 15 points until the end, in which Cape Verde made up some result for the final 65-75.
