Tavares can not with Mejri

Tavares will not play in the Afrobasket final. Cape Verde reached the semi-finals of the African tournament for the second time in its history, but they fell to a much superior Tunisia (65-75). Tavares scored 16 points (8/16 on two-point shots), grabbed 8 rebounds, handed out 3 assists and put up 3 blocks for a PIR of 20 in almost 32 minutes on the track. In Tunisia, good role for ex-Madridista Salah Mejri (14 points and 6 rebounds). Porto power forward Makram Romdhane was the top scorer of his team with 16 goals and with 14 they also finished Omar Abada and the nationalized Michael Roll, who also distributed 10 assists.

With a triple by Almeida, Cape Verde moved to four (39-43), but his rival again took distance (42-59). Tunisia kept that income of about 15 points until the end, in which Cape Verde made up some result for the final 65-75.
