The Euroleague presented its traditional midseason survey to the 18 sports directors of the clubs of the highest continental competition with Madrid and Barcelona among the main favorites to access the Final Four, to be held in Berlin (Germany) from May 27 to 29.
94.4% of the tournament’s general managers watch the two Spanish teams in the big quote for the title. CSKA and Armani Milan, with 66.7% and 55.6%, would accompany both in Germanic lands.
Madrid is also the most fun team in the Euroleague with 33.3%, while Barça is the most uncomfortable for 33.3% of managers.
Praise to Mirotic
The compliments to the two greats of Spanish basketball do not end there. The center of the madridista Tavarés is the best defender in the competition (72.2%), an award that he already won consecutively in 2019 and 2021 (2020 was left blank due to the pandemic). His coach, Pablo Laso, the best in his position (44.4%). The Basque also has that award in its showcases: 2015 and 2018.
At Barça, Mirotic is the most praised: best leader (33.3%), future MVP (88.4%), the most decisive player in the decisive minutes (33.3%) and the most desired signing (27.8%). In this last section, Tavares (16.7%) also appears in third position. Vasilije Micic, from Anadolu Efes, is second (22.2%).
The culé base Rokas Jokubaitis is the top candidate for youth of the year (38.9%) and Nick calathes is recognized as the best passer in the Euroleague (66.7%). Kyle Kuric, meanwhile, is the second best shooter (27.8%) only behind Marcus Eriksson (33.3%), from Alba Berlin.
