– paiN announced Tatu’s departure
– Immediately after, FURIA announced the definitive purchase of the athlete
– FURIA returns to servers on August 29th with opponent to be determined
The esports world got a puzzling message this past Thursday, August 21st. paiN Gaming posted an odd note on X, formerly known as Twitter. It simply said “thank you” to Pedro “Tatu” Seixas for their time together. The post did not clearly state he was leaving. This left fans scratching their heads, wondering about Tatu’s future.
Tatu spent 2024 on paiN’s academy team. He helped them grab two big titles that year. They won the CBLOL Academy 1st Split and the Americas Challengers 2024. The team also secured a second-place finish in the CBLOL Academy’s 2nd Split. His impact was clear, and his presence on the team was definitely felt.
2024 was dominant! Together, we won a CBLOL Academy and the (only) Academy Libertadores, thanks a lot to your passion, joy and lightness. Thank you, Tatu! May this charismatic and happy essence never be missing 🫶#GOpaiN pic.twitter.com/nNsWmwuNJP

Tatu Joins FURIA Permanently
Just moments after paiN’s cryptic message, the picture became much clearer. FURIA made their own announcement. They confirmed they had bought Tatu outright for their League of Legends team. This move officially makes him a “Furioso,” a full member of the FURIA squad. His new contract will keep him with the organization through the end of 2027.

Interestingly, Tatu actually started 2025 as a player for FURIA’s League of Legends team. Now he’s back with them for good. This year, he’s already helped FURIA win the LTA Sul title. He also competed in two major international events: the MSI 2025 (Mid-Season Invitational) and the Esports World Cup (EWC). The team is currently battling in the third stage of the EWC. They are working hard to defend their championship title. Fans can catch FURIA back in action on August 29th. Their opponent for that match is still a mystery.
