New Delhi: A four-storey building in India has been demolished due to heavy rains, while warnings have been issued for other buildings.
According to a report of a foreign news agency, the roots of many buildings have been weakened due to thunder and rain in the Indian city of Bangalore. In view of the danger, the concerned agency is demolishing the said buildings.
Authorities demolished the four-story building, the report said. Four buildings have collapsed so far in Bangalore due to heavy rains and landslides.
There were no casualties as a result of the demolition of the building, the concerned authority had issued an advance warning and told the residents to leave the building immediately and move to a safe place.
The government blamed rain and substandard construction for the building’s weakening. The government provided alternative accommodation and food for the victims.
