Taliban release captured British nationals

KABUL: Spokesman of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Zabihullah Mujahid has said that the arrested British nationals have been released.

Spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said in a statement that the Afghan government had released five British nationals arrested six months ago for violating the law.

Zabihullah Mujahid said that these people were arrested for violating the ground rules, Afghan traditions, these citizens have been released after a series of meetings with Britain.

The spokesman said that Afghanistan is now safe for all, everyone can come safely for tourism.

On the other hand, the British Foreign Office has also confirmed the release of the nationals. The Foreign Office spokesman said that we welcome the release of 5 British nationals detained by the Afghan government.
