Actually, troubled by expensive electricity, the Pakistan government wanted to get cheap coal from Afghanistan. On realizing this, the Taliban increased the price of coal by 30 percent. Pakistan will be compelled to provide expensive electricity to its people.
Taliban has been irritated by this move of Pakistan in the past as well.

Actually, the Taliban used to come and go easily in the border of Afghanistan with Pakistan. But when Pakistan did the cordon, they got furious. On the other hand, India is helping the Taliban with wheat and other materials. This has deeply annoyed Pakistan.
Taliban saw their advantage instead of maintaining friendship with Pakistan
On the other hand, Pakistan wanted to get coal from the Taliban, so before helping their friend Pakistan, the Taliban saw their advantage and increased the price of coal. Actually, this huge power cut is going on in Pakistan, due to which the public is upset and there have been demonstrations in many places. This is the reason why the Pakistan government wanted to take coal from Afghanistan.

On this, the Taliban argued that the country’s economy is at a standstill and the reason for this is that Afghanistan is not getting international help. Importantly, the Taliban government meets 30 per cent of its customs duty by exporting coal. There are many sanctions on the Taliban, due to which they now want to increase their income with the help of natural resources.
Coal price raised to $ 200 per ton
Taliban-ruled Afghanistan’s finance ministry has raised coal prices from $90 a tonne to $200 a tonne. The Afghan ministry said that they increased this price due to the increase in the price of coal around the world. On the other hand, Shahbaz Sharif was hoping that importing cheap coal from Afghanistan would save $ 2 billion.
Poor Pakistan could not get the benefit of Taliban’s coal
In a statement issued by Pakistan, it was said that this Afghan coal of good quality will not only provide cheap electricity but will also save the country much-needed foreign exchange. But this could not happen. Actually, Pakistan is passing through the condition of pauper. In such a situation, the Pakistani government had approved to buy this coal in Pakistani rupees instead of dollars, so that it could make cheap electricity.
