According to ARY News, the spokesman for the Afghan Taliban, Sohail Shaheen, announced in an interview with the US channel Sky News that women will be allowed to go to university.
Taliban spokesman Sohail Shaheen said the burqa is not the only form of veil in Islam.
“There is a hijab in Islam, but that does not mean that women should wear the burqa, women can study up to university level,” he said.
On the other hand, presenters and reporters from Afghan television channels also appeared on the screen.

The presenter programmed on Tolo News, one of Afghanistan’s main television channels, and interviewed a representative of the Taliban media team.
The channels have also shared images and photos from the presenter’s interview on social media.
Kabul’s business community also met with the Taliban leader, Sheikh Abdul Hameed Hamasi, and assured the traders safety.
Sheikh Abdul Hameed Hamasi said that no trader needs to leave Afghanistan, traders must go about their business without fear or danger.
