Take-Two CEO Confirms Bioshock 4 Release Amidst Development Concerns

For many fans of the beloved Bioshock game series, recent whispers have caused some worry. It seems there has been a lot of bad news swirling around the future of the games. But now, the head honcho at Take-Two Interactive has stepped forward with some clear and reassuring words.

Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, recently told IGN that the fourth main game in the Bioshock saga is absolutely coming. He spoke directly and left no room for doubt about the highly anticipated title. Fans who’ve been waiting for ages can finally breathe a sigh of relief.

Zelnick was very clear. “It’s definitely happening,” he stated firmly. He added that even with the ups and downs during development, the company feels a big responsibility to the huge number of players who love Bioshock. He called the series Ken Levine’s legacy, noting its massive success over the years. This new game needs to keep the core feel of Bioshock, known as its “DNA,” while also taking a huge leap forward. Zelnick said this balance is a challenge they are always ready to face.

Reports have indeed hinted at various problems during the game’s creation. For example, a planned remake of the first Bioshock game was scrapped earlier this year. However, despite these setbacks, the company still believes Bioshock 4 is a great game in the making. They promise to deliver an excellent experience to everyone who plays it.

It’s been quite a long time since we saw a new Bioshock game. The last main entry came out back in 2013. Meanwhile, the original creator of Bioshock, Ken Levine, went on to form his own new game studio. He’s currently busy working on a new game called Judas. With Zelnick’s recent comments, it seems the wait for the next chapter in the Bioshock universe won’t be in vain.
