He had no idea that I had been skipping them for two days so that he could have them.” This question upset her, and she broke down in tears. “I told him that I had been using my savings to run the household, which was now depleted. He was surprised and asked why I didn’t ask him for money. I explained that I couldn’t do that and expected him to share the responsibility of running the house.”
It was then that Ayushmann realized Tahira had been shouldering the burden alone for months.
