Swara Bhasker is no stranger to headlines. This Bollywood actress often makes news more for her outspoken comments than her movie roles. She’s always ready to share her thoughts and question things openly. Recently, she weighed in on fellow actress and politician Kangana Ranaut. What’s interesting is that Swara and her husband, Fahad Ahmad, had very different opinions about Kangana. It’s worth noting that Swara and Kangana have even worked together on films before.
The surprising split in opinions came out during an interview with Filmygyan. The couple was playing a game where they had to give hashtags to famous personalities. When it was Swara’s turn to give a hashtag to Kangana, she chose “Destiny Child.” Swara spoke positively about Kangana’s journey, saying there’s much to admire about it. “I don’t think she ever gives up in life,” Swara added. “She never backs down from anything.”
However, Fahad Ahmad, a politician himself, had a completely different take. When asked for his hashtag for Kangana, he quickly called her a “bad politician.” He gave her the tag #BadPolitician. Fahad simply stated he couldn’t comment on her because he believes she is a poor political figure. This direct response clearly surprised Swara, who looked at him with an astonished expression. When Fahad began to repeat his point, Swara playfully cut him off, telling him, “Don’t say the same thing fifty times now!”
Fahad then clarified why he had such strong views on Kangana’s political abilities. He explained that Kangana is the Member of Parliament for the Mandi region. He recalled that during floods in Mandi, Kangana, despite being an MP, was quoted saying, “What can I do? I am not the Prime Minister. I am not a minister.” Fahad argued that a representative’s job is to speak with the government and fight for special funds. He felt she should have gone beyond political votes and acted more decisively. Even so, Fahad made sure to praise Kangana’s acting talent. “She is indeed a good actress, and I like her as an actress,” he stated. “But she is a very bad politician.”
