An SUV crashed into the entrance of Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport, killing two people and injuring four others.
The incident occurred when the black SUV rammed into the airport’s entrance, causing significant damage to the gate on May 4, 2025. Philippine authorities confirmed that a four-year-old girl and an adult were among the dead.
The Philippine Red Cross reported that the two fatalities were likely traveling together. New NAIA Infra Corp, the company operating the airport, said the four injured individuals are receiving medical treatment.
The driver has been taken into police custody. Authorities are investigating whether the crash was an accident or a deliberate act. Airport staff are working closely with the police to determine the cause of the incident.
