A hot air balloon has spread terror in the United States, which is said to be a spy balloon sent by China.
According to US officials, a hot air balloon entered US airspace from the northwest on Wednesday. The official did not specify the size of the balloon, but it is large enough to be seen by commercial pilots despite its high altitude.
The alleged spy balloon has passed through places where there are many sensitive installations and military equipment of the United States. This balloon has also been seen in the US state of Montana, where nuclear missiles are located at Malmstrom Air Force Base.
Brigadier General Patrick Ryder, a spokesman for the US Department of Defense (Pentagon), said that to ensure that the spy balloon could not collect sensitive information, the balloon is currently traveling at an altitude too high for commercial air traffic and that People on Earth face no military or physical threat.
Officials say the balloon’s usefulness in providing intelligence to China is limited. The US government has contacted the Chinese authorities through indirect means and informed them of the seriousness of the matter.
