Sushant Singh Rajput Remains in News 5 Years After Death

Sushant Singh Rajput’s legacy lives on, even five years after his passing. The late Bollywood actor’s case has been making headlines in 2025 for several reasons.

In March, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) released a closure report, stating that Sushant’s death was a result of suicide. The report also cleared his girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, of any charges related to abetting his suicide. This sparked a new wave of discussions and debates about the case.

Meanwhile, Sushant’s father, K.K. Singh, expressed his hopes for justice in an interview with ANI before a hearing in the Bombay High Court. He stated that he had high expectations from the court and believed that the truth would finally come out.

In another development, the father of Sushant’s former manager, Disha Salian, approached the Bombay High Court, seeking a CBI investigation into her death. He alleged that Disha was raped and murdered.

Politician Ram Kadam criticized the Uddhav Thackeray-led government, accusing them of being negligent in handling Sushant’s case. He claimed that the government had destroyed evidence to protect certain individuals.

Bollywood actors like Karan Veer Mehra and Manoj Bajpayee have also spoken about Sushant in recent interviews. Karan Veer Mehra, who won Bigg Boss 18, shared his experience of working with Sushant and remembered him on his birthday. Manoj Bajpayee recalled his conversations with Sushant, describing him as a brilliant and sensitive person.

Actor Bhuvan Arora revealed that Sushant was initially supposed to star in the film Chandu Champion, which was later taken over by Kartik Aaryan. Maharashtra Minister Nitish Rane also made a statement about Sushant, saying that the industry only speaks up when a Muslim actor is affected, but remains silent when a Hindu actor like Sushant faces troubles.

Rhea Chakraborty’s friend, Nidhi Hirananandani, shared her perspective on the case, stating that Rhea’s family was devastated by Sushant’s death and the subsequent allegations against them. Actress Pooja Bhatt took a jibe at Akshay Kumar, tweeting about the CBI’s closure report and implying that he had been inconsistent in his views on the case.

Lastly, actress Ada Sharma, who has taken Sushant’s former residence on rent, spoke about the experience, saying that she was aware of the house’s history but had decided to move in anyway.

These incidents and statements have kept Sushant’s memory alive in the public eye, even five years after his passing. His fans and loved ones continue to seek justice and remember him as a talented and sensitive individual who left a lasting impact on the film industry.
