Susana Rodríguez will participate in the 10K of the Edp RNR Running Series Madrid

Barely a month has passed since the gold of Tokyo and Susana Rodríguez already has in mind a new impossible to achieve. The Paralympic triathlete will travel the streets of Madrid this Sunday in the 10K of the Edp RNR Running Series Madrid, joining the enthusiasm of thousands of runners who, finally, will invade Madrid’s asphalt after more than two years without a race.

In a video presented this Thursday by Adidas, The Galician woman explains her story of overcoming and her conviction that nothing is impossible: “You can win the most important titles, but each new competition is a different challenge, and at the starting line, we all start from scratch.”

“The most valuable thing – explains Susana – is to compete again in the streets of Madrid after so long”. The athlete thus joins the sentiment of thousands of runners who have not been able to compete in the Madrid Marathon since its last edition in April 2019 due to the pandemic. Susana Rodríguez will compete accompanied by her guide Celso Comesaña.

In addition to Susana, the Olympic athletes of Tokyo 2020 Marta Pérez and Carlos Mayo will compete in the 10K distance. The also Olympian Marta Galimany, along with Chema Martínez, Tariku Novales, Toni Abadia and Nuria Lugueros will participate in the Half Marathon. All of them will do it with slippers from the adizero line on their feet, the same ones with which Agnes Jebet Tirop and Senbere Teferi broke the world records of 10K and 5K only for women on September 12 in Adizero: Road to Records.
