The Indian women’s team for the ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025 has been announced, with Nikki Prasad as captain and Sanika Chalke as vice-captain. The team includes most of the players who participated in the Under-19 Asia Cup, which India won by defeating Bangladesh.
Two Wicketkeepers in the Indian Team
The Indian team has two wicketkeepers, Kamalini G and Bhavika Ahire, as well as three standby players, Nandana S, Ira J, and Anadi T. Kamalini G had a strong performance in the Under-19 Asia Cup 2024, winning a match against Pakistan. G Trisha, who scored 52 runs in the final against Bangladesh, has also been included in the team.
Indian Women’s Team in Group A
A total of 16 teams will participate in the Under-19 Women’s World Cup 2025, divided into four groups. India, the defending champions, are in Group A along with hosts Malaysia, West Indies, and Sri Lanka. India will start their campaign against West Indies on January 19, followed by matches against Malaysia (January 21) and Sri Lanka (January 23).
Final Match on February 2
The group stage matches will be played between January 19 and 23. The top three teams from each group will advance to the Super Six, which will be held between January 25 and 29. The top two teams from each group in the Super Six will qualify for the semi-finals on January 31, and the final will be held on February 2.
