Miguel Ángel López achieved a new stage victory in this 2023 season. It was pure mountain where, in addition to the winning trio, men like Jhonatan Restrepo, Juan Manuel Barboza, Juan Pablo Vallejo, Óscar Sevilla, among others, stood out. David Gómez lost the lead in the general classification with Rodrigo Contreras.
Superman, who returned to Colombian cycling after leaving Astana at the end of last year, he became strong on the last climb and got the win thanks to the help of several of his teammates including Sevilla, Javier Jamaica and Róbigzon Oyola. He entered the finish line with a three second lead. The final time was 3 hours, 5 minutes and 49 seconds.
The fourth stage will take place this Saturday, March 11, between the municipalities of Lleida and Santa Isabel. López will try to take the lead from Contreras, just 11 seconds separate them. Sebastián Castaño from Orgullo Paisa is 19′’ away. The race will end on Sunday in Ibagué.
