Sunny Deol is back in the spotlight with his latest film, ‘Gadar 2’, which has been making waves at the box office. After years of anticipation, the sequel has finally hit the theaters and is garnering attention for its performance. But Sunny Deol isn’t just stopping at ‘Gadar 2’. He’s got a slew of upcoming projects in the pipeline, including ‘Lahore 1947’, ‘Border 2’, and ‘Ramayan’, all of which are generating buzz.
From Big Screen to OTT
For a long time, Sunny Deol was all about the big screen. However, he’s now making his OTT debut, a move that’s got everyone talking. When asked about his change of heart, Sunny explained that while he initially preferred sticking to big-screen films, he’s come to realize that OTT is a different beast altogether. “I wanted to do big-screen films because I didn’t want people to think I’m doing OTT content instead of theatrical releases,” he said. “But over time, I realized that OTT has its own audience, and it’s not just about the platform – it’s about the content.” Sunny is now open to doing films that might not be suitable for the big screen but can thrive on OTT.
A New Chapter
Sunny Deol is looking to expand his reach and connect with a broader audience. “I’m doing a couple of films that have great stories and characters,” he revealed. “I want people to see me everywhere, and I think OTT is a great way to achieve that.” His goal is to create content that resonates with viewers across different platforms. When talking about ‘Border’, Sunny Deol shared that he was drawn to the project because of his father’s film ‘Haqeeqat’. “I wanted to do a war film, and JP Dutta’s story for ‘Border’ was the perfect fit,” he said. The film has become a classic, and Sunny takes pride in hearing from soldiers who credit ‘Border’ with inspiring them to join the army. For Sunny Deol, it’s a reminder that his work has made a real impact on people’s lives.
