Shetty conveyed his enthusiasm to the Press Trust of India, acknowledging his popular role as army officer Bhairon Singh in the film “Border.” He emphasized this connection to his public image.

“If people know me, it’s only because of the character of Bhairon Singh in the film Border,” Shetty said. “This is my first marathon, and hopefully there will be many more. My effort will be to come every time.”

He also commended the BSF for their courage and dedication in defending India’s borders.

The actor provided a significant update regarding upcoming film productions in Kashmir. He previously attended another marathon in the region.

Filmmakers Vikram Razdan, Shabbir Boxwala, and Binoy Gandhi are slated to commence shooting films in Kashmir this year. These projects are expected to conclude by the summer.

Shetty voiced optimism for the future of the region. “We hope that our Kashmir and Jammu will return to normal,” he stated.

This push for normalcy follows an earlier terrorist attack in Pahalgam this year, which resulted in civilian casualties. India subsequently launched Operation Sindoor against Pakistani terrorist bases.

In terms of his film career, Shetty recently appeared in ‘Kesaari Veer’, playing a warrior. He is also anticipated to be seen in ‘Hera Pheri 3’ and ‘Welcome to the Jungle’.
