Sullivan and Kim lead with Campillo three strokes

English Andy Sullivan and the south korean Yeongsu Kim, with 63 hits (-7), lead the ISPS Handaa DP World Tour golf tournament (old European circuit) that takes place at the PGM Ishioka course in Omitama (Japan), while Jorge Campillo is the best Spaniard at three shots.

Sullivan completed the first day of the tournament with eight ‘birdies’ and one ‘bogey’, while the Asian player made no mistake with seven hits. Both outstrip a trio made up of Canadian Aaron Cockerill, Swedish Alexander Bjork and South African Deon Germishuys, and in two to another large group made up of the Australian Brad Kennedy, the Japanese Keita Nakajima and Yosuke Asaji, the Swede Sebastian Soderberg, the South African Jacques Kruyswijk, the German Marcel Schneider and the New Zealander Daniel Hillier.

Jorge Campillo, winner of the Nairobi tournament in March, leads the Spanish representation with 66 strokes (-4) by making seven ‘birdies’ and committing three ‘bogeys’. Rafa Cabrera Bello closed the day with -3, Adri Arnaus and Nacho Elvira with -2, Sasntiago Tarrio and Ángel Hidalgo with -1 and Pablo Larrazábal with +4.
