David Ayer, unhappy not to have been able to expose all his vision in the Suicide Squad of 2016 which was “Butchered” over there Warner, continues to extol the merits of his Ayer Cut. In the hope that his version ends up landing on HBO Max like that of Zack Snyder, the filmmaker continues his multiple teasings based on exclusive images but nothing helps. Rumors had even announced an officialization of the Ayer Cut during the DC Fandome but it was only speculation.
Recently, David Ayer shared a picture of the Joker of Jared leto and, the least we can say is that the visual of the villain is just awful.
It therefore seems unlikely to be able to benefit from this version of Suicide Squad and this for many reasons : the less vehemence of the #ReleaseAyerCut twitter campaign, the critical success of James Gunn’s semi-reboot The Suicide Squad but above all the fact that everyone seems to be looking to the future of the DCEU (The Batman, Black Adam…).
