Suhana Khan Reveals When Her Parents Realized She Was Serious About Her Acting Career

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan started filming her acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s movie The Archies last month. In addition to her, this film also marks the debut of Janhvi Kapoor’s younger sister Khushi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda. We saw them happen before in The Archies Cast Announcement. This movie is based on the popular Archie Comics comic series.

But even before her debut, Suhana Khan was always in the spotlight. She has always been in love with cinema and acting. However, her parents thought for a long time that this obsession would pass. In an interview with Vogue, the 21-year-old revealed the exact moment her mother Gauri Khan and her father Shah Rukh Khan realized she was serious about an acting career.

“I don’t think there was a specific moment when I made the decision. From a very early age I did accents and imitations. But my parents didn’t realize that I was serious about acting until they saw my acting for the first time. I played Miranda in a school play of The Tempest. In the play, Suhana was the only female character to appear on stage.

Suhana studied at Ardingly College in England. When she graduated from Ardingly, Suhana won the Russell Cup for her outstanding contribution to the drama. Later, Suhana moved to New York and began her studies at New York University’s prestigious Tisch School of The Arts, where she graduated this year.

Aside from extensive training in theater and other aspects of film-making, Suhana has also taken various belly dancing classes. During her years at Ardingly, Suhana was also part of several projects, including a short film that premiered on YouTube.
