Sudakov Autographs Benfica Jerseys in Poland, Praises Club’s Elite Level

Sudakov already signing Benfica jerseys... in Poland

Georgiy Sudakov, Benfica’s exciting new signing, recently found himself in a unique spotlight. While on duty with the Ukrainian national team in Poland, a dedicated fan spotted him. The supporter held out a pristine Benfica jersey, its Adidas tag still attached. Sudakov gladly signed it, posing for a picture with his new club’s colors. This happened before he played an official game for the Portuguese club.

The 22-year-old creative midfielder is currently preparing for a big game. His Ukrainian side faces France tonight in a crucial World Cup 2026 qualifier. Kick-off is set for 7:45 PM Lisbon time.

Despite his busy schedule, Sudakov took time to share his thoughts. He spoke to ‘Vzbirna’ about his early days with Benfica. “I am very happy, everything has been very positive,” he shared. His praise for the club’s setup was especially strong. “What impressed me most so far? Everything,” he stated simply. “The training center, the stadium… everything. Everything is fantastic. It’s all of the highest level.” Such words build excitement for fans.

Settling into a new club can be tough. But Sudakov sees a key ally in his fellow countryman, Anatoliy Trubin. “He knows everyone at the club,” Sudakov noted, pointing to Trubin’s help. He also had a quick chat with coach Bruno Lage. “The team had a game to play,” Sudakov explained. He referred to Benfica’s match against Alverca. “So I didn’t have much time to talk to him.” He expects more in-depth discussions after his national team commitments conclude.
