Saša Kalajdžic gave Stuttgart a 2-2 draw at champions Bayern Munich on Sunday, leaving three teams in the final round of the Bundesliga fighting for permanence.
Kalajdžic leveled the score in the 52nd minute and Stuttgart fell three points behind Hertha Berlin — which has a worse goal difference — and three above Arminia Bielefeld, still with the mathematical option of overtaking Stuttgart to contest the relegation playoff.
Stuttgart’s draw ensured Augsburg’s stay in the top division regardless of their away result against Leipzig later on.
Stuttgart will be local against Cologne on the last date, when Hertha will face Borussia Dortmund as a visitor and Bielefeld will receive Leipzig, a club that is fighting to qualify for the next Champions League.
In the early hours, Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Mönchengladbach drew 1-1 in a game that did not have much at stake.
