Students visit Audax Italiano from Chile for the Copa Libertadores

Students from La Plata will debut in the 2022 edition of the Copa Libertadores when visiting Audax Italiano from Chile, for the first leg of phase 2, one of the two instances that must be overcome to enter the groups.

Audax Italiano is a club from the Chilean capital, but its stadium is located in the town of La Florida is being used by health authorities as a vaccination center against Covid-19.

The rematch will be played on March 2 at the Uno stadium in La Plata and the winner of the series will advance to phase 3, the last one prior to entering the groups, where they will meet Everton from Chile, or Monagas from Venezuela.

The La Plata team qualified for this preliminary phase due to its position in the accumulated table of the 2021 season. The expectation for the return is so great that the leadership invited two champions to Chile of the Libertadores such as Marcos Conigliaro and Daniel Romeo.
