Stuart Broad entered a very special club, got 100 wickets at Lord’s Ground

England’s fast bowler Stuart Broad has carved out a very special position in the first match of the three-Test series against South Africa. Broad has become the second bowler to take 100 wickets in Test cricket at Lord’s Historic Grounds. Previously, James Anderson took 100 trial wickets at Lord’s turf.

Stuart Broad is the fourth bowler in the world to have taken more than 100 wickets in Test cricket on the same wicket. Apart from Broad and Anderson, this club includes two star spinners from Sri Lanka. Muttiah Muralitharan and Rangana Herath took 100 wickets at the same wicket in Test cricket.

Broad also has a chance to beat former Australian fast pitcher Glenn McGrath in this series. McGrath has 563 wickets in Test cricket. Broad has taken 553 wickets in Test cricket. If Broad manages to take 11 more wickets in this series, he will become the fifth most successful bowler in the world.

Speaking of the players who took the most wickets in a field, Muralitharan took 166 wickets at the Colombo Sports Ground. Anderson has taken 117 wickets on Lord’s turf. Rangana Herth managed to take 102 wickets in the Galle wicket. Now Broad’s entry has also been made at this club.
