Strong earthquake shakes buildings in Mexico. 2 people died in two different incidents.

According to foreign news agencies, an earthquake occurred in Mexico City on Wednesday and Thursday night.

According to the National Seismological Survey, the magnitude of the earthquake was 6.9 on the Richter scale. The epicenter was 84 km south of Colcomane near the Pacific Ocean. The US Geological Survey reported the magnitude of the earthquake as 6.8.

The National Seismological Survey added that it was the strongest of the 1,200 aftershocks since Monday’s 7.7-magnitude earthquake in the region.

The country’s president tweeted that a woman in Mexico City died after falling down the stairs in the stampede after the earthquake. One person died of a heart attack.

The mayor of Mexico City, Claudia Scheinbaum, has said that no buildings were damaged by the earthquake.
