Streaming platforms: 5 series and movies debuting this week

It’s time to relax, after all we are entering another weekend that will have moments of leisure to occupy.

Get comfortable on the sofa, place a blanket and a bowl of popcorn on your lap to watch this week’s premieres on streaming platforms. Netflix brings well-known names closer to the public while Disney + offers us The Muppets. But there is more…

1. Parallel Worlds (Season 3) – HBO Max

This week the third and final season of Mundos Parallels arrives on the HBO Max platform, which again features Dafne Keen and Amir Wilson in the roles of the protagonists Lyra and Will.

The story picks up right where the second season left off. Lyra has been kidnapped by her mother and Will doesn’t stop trying to save her.

2. Harry and Megan – Netflix

Faces of British royalty star in a documentary series divided into six parts. For now there are three episodes available and from the middle of the month the remaining three will be released.

Harry and Megahn share their version of events, from their fairytale wedding in 2018 to the present day. The controversy that this series has already generated is almost a guarantee of success.

3. A Muppet Christmas Carol – Disney+

The Muppets Christmas Carol is not a new movie, but it is available for the first time to watch on the Disney+ platform, and as such, it is also classified as a premiere.

The story we all know, the grumpy and stingy Scrooge is visited, on Christmas Eve, by the ghosts of the past and present. But everything takes place in the well-known universe of The Muppets, which immediately guarantees fun.

Since Disney+ did not make an official trailer for the film available on the YouTube platform, we cannot play it here.

4. Something from Tiffany’s – Amazon Prime

The Christmas season is lived in New York City. Rachel and Gary live happily, but they are not ready to take the plunge of marriage. For their part, Vanessa and Ethan are about to make their relationship official.

But an unexpected gift exchange causes the lives of these two couples to intersect and change significantly, with many twists and discoveries thrown into the mix.

5. Pinocchio by Guillermo del Toro – Netflix

With the unmistakable signature of Guillermo del Toro and the unmistakable voice of Ewan McGregor as narrator, it is a reinterpretation of the story of Pinocchio.

With stop motion animated figures, we accompany Gepetto in his creation of the wooden boy who comes to life and becomes an overly adventurous and intrepid Pinocchio.
