Story has 7 home runs in 7 games, Red Sox win, Devers scores three

Trevor Story stayed hot with the bat, hitting a three-run homer and driving in four runs as the Boston Red Sox thrashed the Chicago White Sox 16-7 on Thursday.

Story has seven homers and 21 RBIs in his last seven games. He raised his totals for the season to nine home runs and 32 RBIs.

The Red Sox won two of three in the series in Chicago.

Alex Verdugo had four hits, including a pair of doubles, as Boston outscored the White Sox 33-13 in the series. The Red Sox opened with a 16-3 win and followed up with a 3-1 stumble.

John Schreiber (2-0), the first of five relievers, got the win.

The setback was for Dallas Keuchel (2-5), who allowed six runs and seven hits — including five extra-base hits — in just two innings.

For the Red Sox, Puerto Ricans Kiké Hernández 6-1, with a run scored and an RBI, Christian Vázquez 5-3 with a run scored and two RBIs. Rafael Devers 5-2 with three runs scored. Mexican Alex Verdugo 6-4 with two runs scored and three produced.

For the White Sox, Cubans José Abreu 4-2 with a run scored, Yasmani Grandal 3-0 with a run scored. Dominican Leury García 3-1 with a run scored and an RBI.
