The Superintendence of the Stock Market reported that the main performance indicators of the stock market have shown significant levels in the first half of the year.
The number of new investors in the stock market grew at an average rate of 990 per month between January and June 2023.
This means that 5,940 new investors have joined the stock market so far this year.
There are 118,001 investors with 133,189 accounts open at the end of June. While the contributors to investment funds have also increased, totaling 33,661 as of June 30, 2023.
Regarding capital formation, the Superintendency announced that it has authorized 9 public offerings of securities, for DOP 23,572.6 million. These offers include issues of corporate bonds, placements of investment funds and variable income trusts, as well as an emblematic issue of green bonds.

The assets under management of the investment funds have increased to DOP 163,768 million as of June 30, 2023. A rebound of DOP 14,111 million in six months. While the assets of the stock exchanges reached their historical maximum of DOP 186,976 million, at the end of May, with an aggregate equity of DOP 23,378 million, which shows adequate levels of capitalization and loss absorption.
