Steve Moyers leads Licey to victory over Federales

Left-hander Steve Moyers threw eight innings of one run and Yamaico Navarro, Emilio Bonifacio and Kelvin Gutiérrez drove in six runs between the three and the Tigres del Licey, from the Dominican Republic, crushed the Federales de Chiriquí 10-1 on Monday. Panama, on the fifth day of the “65 of the Caribbean Series Simple TV Gran Caracas 2023”, which took place at the Fórum de la Guaria stadium.

The Dominicans attacked the rival pitcher very early when they made three runs in the third inning. After one out, Webster Rivas reached on the third baseman’s error and reached second, Gustavo Núñez drove him in with a double to right field, Emilio Bonifacio flied out to left field, Yamaico Navarro followed with a superb two-run home run for the left meadow to put the game 3-0.

In the fifth inning, Emilio Bonifacio hit a double to drive in two teammates to extend the lead to 5-1 over the Federales.
