This means you can now find games with audio descriptions, adjustable difficulty levels, or Colorblind mode with just a few clicks.
How it works
The new system introduces Accessibility Tags, which allow you to narrow down your search to games that offer the features you need. Want a game with narration in the menus? You can select that. Need a game with customizable difficulty levels? That’s an option too. The tags cover a range of accessibility features, making it easier for players to find games that suit their requirements.
Over 5,000 games on Steam have already been updated with these tags, although some categories may not be fully comprehensive just yet. Still, it’s a great starting point for players looking for games that offer a more inclusive experience.
Getting started
To try out the new feature, simply head to the Search page and click on “Narrow by accessibility feature.” From there, you can select the specific features you’re looking for, and Steam will show you a list of games that match your criteria. The update is live now, so you can start exploring and finding games that cater to your needs.
