Star Player Returns to Team India After 14 Months Awaits

Fast bowler Mohammed Shami has been out of action for more than a year and a half. However, his long wait has come to an end, and he is ready to make a comeback to Team India. Since November 2023, Shami has been working on recovering from an injury that kept him out of the game for so long.

Preparations with the Team

Shami’s inclusion in the Indian team for the T20I series against England has been a significant development. As Team India gets ready for their matches against England, the fast bowler has also started his practice sessions with the team. On January 19, Shami joined his teammates at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Fans are eagerly waiting to see him back in action, and the Indian team’s support staff has warmly welcomed him.

Long-Awaited Return

For the 5-match T20I series against England, which starts on January 22, Shami’s preparation has been on full swing. His long absence from Team India has only made his comeback even more crucial for fans and the team alike. Shami practiced with the team for over an hour, which included bowling at full pace and participating in a fielding session. The Indian team’s bowling coach, Morne Morkel, supervised his training session, which indicates that he will be back in the starting lineup for the T20I series.
