Srinidhi Shetty is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film ‘HIT 3’. In a recent chat with PTI, she opened up about her experience in ‘KGF’, the film that launched her career.
Being called a ‘flower pot’ in ‘KGF’
Srinidhi shared her thoughts on being labeled a ‘flower pot’ in ‘KGF’. She said she didn’t mind it because the film was a dream project for her. “When I heard the story, I knew my role was limited, but I wanted to be a part of it. It was my first film, and I was excited about it.”
She added that she now takes her time to think about whether she wants to play a ‘flower pot’ in her future films. “It’s a personal choice. Some people like being a ‘flower pot’, while others don’t. There’s nothing right or wrong about it.”
‘KGF’ gave her popularity
Srinidhi credited ‘KGF’ for her popularity. “The fame and love I received are because of ‘KGF’. There’s no doubt about it. Maybe it didn’t translate into the kind of work I had envisioned.”
Srinidhi played Reena Desai in the ‘KGF’ franchise, directed by Prashant Neel. Yash played the lead role of Rocky. Both parts of ‘KGF’ were box office hits.
‘HIT 3’ – Srinidhi’s next release
Srinidhi will next be seen in ‘HIT 3’, directed by Sailesh Kolanu, alongside Nani. The film is set to release on May 1.
