Sri Lanka announced the women’s team for the series against Team India, see who got the place

Sri Lanka on Monday announced a 19-member women’s squad for the series of three One Day Internationals and three T20 Internationals against India starting June 23. Captain Chamari Atapattu will lead both teams that include the likes of Hasini Perera, Nilakshi de Silva, Oshadi Ranasinghe and Inoka Ranaveera. Vishmi Gunaratne, who is hoping for Sri Lanka’s one-day international debut, has also found a place in both teams.

The T20 International series will take place in Dambulla from June 23-27, followed by the One Day International series in Pallekal from July 1-7, which is part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25. India will play the first match of the current ICC Women’s Championship cycle during the ODI series. With this, a new era will begin in One Day Internationals for India, as the team will play the first series after the retirement of captain Mithali Raj.

Significantly, the first match of the T20 series will be played between India and Sri Lanka women’s cricket team on June 23. Following this, the second and third T20 matches will take place on June 25 and 27. At the same time, the first match of the ODI series will be played on July 1 in Pallekal. Following this, the second ODI match will be played on July 4 and the third ODI will be played on July 7.
